Every user understands: any technique can break. The question is what measures were taken by the manufacturer to protect the device from malfunction as much as possible. The gas boiler is equipped with sensors, each of them monitors the operation of a separate unit. In the event of a breakdown, the control module receives a signal, after which it issues a fault code on the display. This is called a self-diagnosis system. Protherm Lynx errors indicate the cause of the problems that can be fixed on the spot.
Features of the boiler "Proterm Lynx"
This wall-mounted double-circuit model is designed to heat the room and supply hot water. The closed combustion chamber has a fan for forced smoke extraction. Connects to a coaxial chimney.
With a power of 24–28 kW, the efficiency is 94%. Electronic ignition, flame modulation burner. Regulators allow you to switch modes from "Comfort" to "Economy". The “Anti-freezing” function is also provided when the temperature drops to 5 degrees.
Faults and Errors
Did you see a trouble code on the equipment display? Restart the boiler, it may be a system failure. If the error persists, then start searching for the cause to resolve the problem.
Error Codes | Value | DIY repair |
f1 | There is no flame signal. The operation of the boiler is blocked. |
|
f2 | The heating temperature sensor is defective. Decrease in temperature to 3 ° C. | Inspect the temperature sensor, reconnect the plug to the connector. If you start the equipment in the cold season, warm up the system. |
f3 | Overheat protection (over 95 degrees) worked. | Wait until the values decrease and the work is restored. Or restart the fuse. |
f4 | The hot water sensor is defective. | Diagnose the part, its wiring. Strip your contacts. |
f5 | The outdoor thermometer is out of order. | Check the circuit between the element and the boiler. If everything is in order, install the serviceable part. |
f6 | The tap product sensor does not signal. |
|
f7 (f07) | Communication problem. | Check all wires, contacts, connections. Call the control board contacts. For repair contact the master. |
f8 | The contacts between the NTC sensor and the ground of the heater are open. | Tighten and reconnect the connections. Diagnose and replace the sensor. |
f10 / f13 | Short circuit (short circuit) of the flow temperature sensor. |
|
f15 | Short circuit of the return thrust sensor. | Clean all connection components between the sensor and the fan. |
f20 | The fuse for the thermal limiter has tripped. | Run the diagnostics:
|
f22 | The pressure in the system dropped to 0.3 bar. | Problems with the pressure sensor or pump. Adjust their operation, unlock the pump. Replace faulty components. Turn on the make-up tap. Make sure the connections are not leaking. |
f23 | The feed and return sensors give different readings. | See the solution for f22. Only instead of pressure sensors check temperature sensors. |
f24 | The coolant level in the circuit has fallen. The temperature is growing rapidly. |
|
f25 | Blocking smoke from entering the room. |
|
f28 | The flame goes out during ignition. | What to do:
|
f29 | The flame went out during operation. |
|
f33 | The Anti-freezing mode is on. |
|
f55 | The exhaust gas sensor is out of order. |
|
f62 | The fuel valve does not work. |
|
f63 | The memory board is defective. |
|
f72 | Once a day, the device performs testing, comparing the readings of the sensors on the return and supply lines. |
|
f73 | Problems with the pressure sensor. | Reconnect the part. Make sure there is no short or open. |
f75 | Repeat f73. The pump tried to turn on 5 times. |
See f73. |
f83 | No fluid in the circuit. The temperature does not rise. |
|
f84 | Mismatch between the NTC2 and NTC5 sensors. | See if the parts are connected correctly. Set new if broken. |
f85 | Return and flow thermistors are out of order. |
|
00 | The thermistor is not working. | Strip contact groups. Install new wiring. |
A6 | The room temperature is below standard. | Turn on additional radiators for heating. |
f04 | Problems with ionization. | Open the fuel cock, turn on the restart. |
f05 | There is little air to maintain combustion. | Clean the chimney, arrange ventilation in the room. |
How to avoid breakdowns? With the help of prevention and technical inspection. What you can do yourself:
- Clean parts from dust and soot.
- Descale the heat exchanger.
- Clean the filters.
- Install additional water filters.
- Follow the instructions for use.
Now that you’ve got some idea of the error codes, you can begin to troubleshoot and fix them. Remember: turn off the fuel and water supply before starting work. If the equipment is under warranty, it is better to contact a service center.
