The Aton gas boiler is a product of the Ukrainian holding company ATON Group, which produces heating equipment for Ukraine and the CIS. The manufacturer offers a large number of modifications that differ in power, installation method and number of circuits. The manufacturer, using imported components, in fact, performs assembly work. That is why the characteristics of the products collected are almost as good as those of more expensive European counterparts.
About company
ATON Group is a holding company manufacturing heat engineering equipment under the brand of the same name. Date of creation of the trademark - 2003. Founder - OJSC Krasilovsky Machine-Building Plant. The company's area of interest is the production and sale of heating equipment that is functionally comparable with European counterparts in Ukraine and the CIS. The product catalog contains over 70 units, including various types of gas appliances.
What are the benefits?
Advantages of Ukrainian gas equipment ATON:
- Only components of European manufacturers.
- Affordable price 8 000-25 0000 rubles. Even products from the low price segment meet Euro standards, are durable and reliable.
- High quality nodes. Automation allows you to set the temperature of the coolant with high accuracy, adjust the flow of fuel. The heat exchanger is made of steel sheets - cut by a punch press, and then welded. Even with maximum heat, the welds maintain their integrity.
- A wide range of performance - from 8 kW to 1 MW. You can choose the option for a room of any size.
- Simple operation. The consumer can do most of the small work on their own. The principle of operation and design are simple, therefore it is enough to check the operation of the equipment every six months - adjusting the fuel supply, etc.
- Safe. Thanks to the draft sensor, it is possible to prevent dangerous situations in which the extracted gases are blown back into the furnace by the wind. When the pressure in the gas pipes drops, the system shuts off automatically - there will be no gas leak.
- Elegant design.
- Protective powder coating.
How to choose?
Parameters to pay attention to:
- Productivity - is selected depending on the area.
- The number of circuits. The manufacturer offers a single-circuit and dual-circuit option. Hot water is heated by a domestic hot water circuit or an integrated boiler.
- Depends or not on electricity. The non-volatile type is more valuable as a more reliable and self-sufficient.
- Design and installation method.
Varieties
Parapet
The parapet or smokeless boiler is structurally similar to condensing appliances. A distinctive feature is a closed combustion chamber. Oxygen consumed during fuel combustion enters the furnace from the street. A horizontal coaxial chimney is connected to the device. It is characterized by high efficiency and environmental friendliness. The economical use of energy resources. A number of parapet versions, in addition to a conventional radiator, have a built-in convection casing - for greater heating efficiency. The manufacturer offers parapet models:
• Wall mounted. Mostly volatile - they need electricity to function.
• Floor version - non-volatile.
Mounted
Designed for space heating and water heating. Technical features of dual-circuit models:
• Steel heat exchanger. 3 mm thick.
• Smoke tubes from the profile are used - heat transfer is increased by 15%.
• Silent burner (made in England).
• Automatic unit - Italian and German.
Compact size and quiet operation eliminates the need for additional sound insulation. The manufacturer includes in the basic package - expansion tank, circulation pump, automatic unit and security system.
Floor
The stationary Aton installation is designed to heat large areas. It can have a capacity of up to 1 MW - this is the capacity of one of the latest modifications of the Aton brand. For convenience, floor versions can be divided into three groups:
• 2 contour. They are connected to heating and hot water supply. Water is heated in a plate radiator made of copper.
• Single-circuit. Only for heating. They can be equipped with a built-in boiler or connected to a drive. They need electricity.
• Non-volatile. This water heating stations are structurally simple. Do not need electricity. They are connected to heating, in which the coolant circulates without coercion. Chimney floor option. There is an atmospheric burner - air circulating in the room is consumed for operation.
In the latest models there are constructive adjustments - they do not need a pilot burner for combustion. This solution allows you to reduce gas consumption by 10-15%.
All modifications meet safety requirements. The maximum allowable water vapor pressure is 0.07 MPa. The maximum fluid temperature is 115 degrees.
Installation and Connection
A gas-powered device must be installed in a ventilated area. Installation is carried out by specialists, in accordance with the requirements of the PB (fire safety). Before connecting the device, make sure:
- system integrity;
- gas flow stability;
- serviceability of chimneys;
- heat resistance of the surface where the gas installation will stand.
Installation of a parapet boiler
Need to stock up:
• punch;
• wrenches;
• chimney pipes;
• a screwdriver;
• fum tape;
• dowels;
• fittings.
A hole d 24 cm is made from the outside of the wall. A chimney section is mounted in it - the end must hang from the outside. Next is the fixation of the chimney in the wall. Install the pipes of the chimney and air duct in the flue. They hang on the wall, leaving a gap of 6 cm. In turn, connect the nozzles, fixing them with fasteners. On the protruding part of the pipe, chimney protection is installed, fixing it with dowels. The device is attached to the wall on the earhooks.
Instruction manual
Proper operation is not possible without reading the instructions that come with the device. The main thing that the user needs to read is how to turn on the device:
- The control knob is turned counterclockwise.
- Having pressed the handle, and holding it, press the igniter button.
- When the fire appears, the handle is not released - hold for another 10-15 seconds.
- The handle is released, the flame should burn powerfully, evenly, stably.
- In the absence of fire, steps 2-4 are repeated.
The start-up and commissioning of the device is recommended to be done with the help of specialists.
Why does the burner go out?
The presence of reliable automatic protection is the main reason for the extinction of the flame. If even a minor malfunction occurs, the automation switches off the device - the wick goes dead. The reason for the extinction of the flame, usually, is not the device itself, but problems in the smoke exhaust system, in the mains or in the hot water supply. Usually the wick goes out:
- in case of malfunctions or pollution of the chimney;
- with a decrease in gas pressure.
Why did the igniter go out?
- The problem is provoked by a malfunction in the electrical network. For example, by voltage drop. To avoid interruptions in the operation of volatile gas equipment, connect the stabilizer.
- The igniter often goes out when the nozzles and air filter become clogged. The solution is to clean the clogged elements.
- With prolonged use, there may be a violation of the gap and wire contacts in the igniter. The situation requires a specialist call. You can clean the filter or check the current conductor yourself.
- If the flame goes out in isolation from the burner, and at the same time noise is heard from the nozzles, the draft sensor must have broken. If the cause is oxidation of the contacts, strip them.
- The wick will go out if the thermocouple is out of order - it may become dirty or burn out. Will have to be replaced.
- It is likely that the cause of the malfunction is the contacts of the automation unit, check them and, if necessary, clean them.
An extinguished burner is always a nuisance, but especially in severe frosts. At low temperatures there is a risk of pipe freezing. The extinction of the flame can be triggered by the wind penetrating through the chimney - reverse draft. As a result, protection is triggered - the device is completely turned off. The thrust often becomes the cause of failures - if it is insufficient, redundant, reverse.
How to prevent wind blowing?
When designing the location of the apparatus, it is necessary to take into account such nuances as blowing the wind - is it from the side of the house that interests you, and if so, how strong. The chimney scheme must be correct, if it does not correspond to the design, it is necessary to make changes to the device. The exhaust pipe should be insulated. It should rise half a meter above the ridge of the roof. The diameter is selected according to the power of the equipment. To avoid blowing, you need a lot of traction, for this:
- Clean the flue pipe from soot and soot.
- Increase airflow to maximum. The hole through which air enters should be located near the floor and as close to the unit as possible.

Owner reviews
ATON Atmo 16Е: Alexey G., Evpatoria
The 2-circuit boiler has been working for 10 years. And only now it has started to flow. Over the years, there are no special complaints. Saving gas. The only thing that annoyed was the lack of hot water. If the boiler burns at the same time and you open the faucet, then the hot water ends very quickly - it does not have time to warm up. Therefore, for a good wash, it was necessary to shut off the heating - then it was possible to heat the water to 90 degrees. Perhaps, due to such overloads, the device broke down, as it is designed for 1 atmosphere and is not suitable for a closed system.
ATON Atmo 12.5E: Yana O., Belgorod
We bought this device for a summer residence - attracted by the simplicity of design and price. I do not think that this is a high-quality and reliable equipment. Even the plastic sticker near the temperature sensor is poorly glued - it fell off immediately. The wire that goes to the lighter regularly falls off. Condensation forms under the bottom and now the legs are starting to rust. Not even suitable for a summer residence.
Aton gas appliances are an inexpensive ersatz product of more expensive European counterparts. Assembled from imported spare parts, the boilers are endowed with many convenient functions, but are not without the traditional problems associated with flame attenuation. Consumers in Ukrainian heaters are attracted by the affordable cost and a large selection of models designed for heating rooms of different sizes.
